My Favourite Pictures Gallery

A selection of what I consider to be the best photos I have taken:

A 4-CEP arrives with an evening rush hour service from Cannon Street.  This was the only 4 car train to serve Bromley North, once in the morning rush and returning in the evening.

A Class 25 hauls an engineering train on a Sunday night.  The line was closed all day and a replacement bus service was in operation.

The resident Class 08 sits in the number 1 siding awaiting its next turn of duty.  The shunter was used to prepare the local Speedlink freights from nearby light industry.

A Class 25 is stabled on the freight road on Christmas Day.  The staff at the Railway Tavern are preparing for the afternoon rush.

This Class 47 had brought in a two coach train from Willesden Jct.  It is now shunting to the number 1 siding to await its next turn of duty.  You can just make out some exhaust fumes that have been edited in.

A Class 153 on loan from Regional Railways to examine the cost effectiveness of second generation DMUs.  It is so new to the area that the destination blind still reads Newport!

The Class 153 sits in Platform 2 on a crisp winter night.  It is a Sunday and the unit will wait for two hours before returning to Willesden Jct.  The Network SouthEast enhancements haven't improved the Sunday timetable yet!

An overview of the layout at night.  The Class 37 in the siding is no longer used on the Willesden services and has now headed back north (i.e. it's been sold!).

This 2-EPB worked the last train of the day from Cannon Street and has been stabled for the night.

Same picture as above but in colour.

Two Mk 2 coaches forming a Willesden Jct service.  Coach E9400 and its partner 5410 were previously allocated to Norwich Crown Point. E9400 was wired for the Edinburgh to Glasgow push/pull services.  These coaches will now end their days unloved on these south-east to north-west inner suburban London services.
